Angel Reese has gotten more and more popular over the past two years and she is now one of the biggest names in the WNBA, but that doesn’t mean that everything is perfect on the pitch.

The Louisiana State University alumnus currently plays for the Chicago Sky and it has become clear that there is one part of her game that needs to improve if she is to fully impress head coach Tyler Marsh.

Reese has been in good form during the Unirivaled Basketball League recently, getting five double-doubles and really catching the eye of the watching fans.

She will want to carry that form back into the WNBA as Marsh has siad before: “Shooting. We want shooting. And lots of it.”

In November, Marsh made this vision very clear for the players and the fans when he said: “I told Rachel (Banham) and Michaela (Onyenwere) in our first conversations, ‘When you have it, I want you to feel the confidence of letting it ride,’ and that goes for everyone as we gonna get you shooting some threes too.

“So, yeah, we got some pieces that we’re going to look to add and continue to build around the core.”

Reese hasn’t managed to reach the standards set yet, and given there is always so much focus on what she is doing away from the basketball court, certain fans will be quick to turn on here if she isn’t making the grade with the Sky.

Reese has to shut out the noise

She remains one of the most talked-about figures in women’s basketball, and recently pushed back against claims that misrepresented the timeline of her injury at Maryland.

A fan account recently shared highlights of Reese‘s time with the Terrapins, with the caption: “I’m jealous of people that got to witness this (Maryland) era of my GOAT in real time.”

The video itself contained an embedded message claiming the footage was from “before her injury.” Reese quickly noticed the post and wasted no time correcting the false narrative.

The WNBA star took to social media to clarify that the video was not from before her injury, urging people to do their research before making claims.

“Y’all literally don’t do y’all research,” Reese wrote. “This wasn’t before my injury so stop with the narrative lmfaoo.”
