Angel Reese has made her stance on disloyalty in relationships crystal clear during an episode of her podcast, Unapologetically Angel.
In a conversation with guest Pretty Vee, Reese revealed that once trust is broken, there’s no second chance.
Reese didn’t mince words when discussing what could make her call it quits with a partner. When asked about her relationship deal-breakers.
“I’m not going for that. It’s gone,” she replied.
She emphasized the importance of loyalty and trust in any relationship, making it evident that if someone betrays her, there’s no coming back from it.
“I’ve never, no, I’ve never taken somebody back from cheating. I just don’t think I have it,” Reese explained. “Because then it’s like…I think I got to get my back, and then it’s on for both of us. How can I trust you again? If you do it again, then I look like a fool.”
Relationship lessons
Reese‘s bold stance on infidelity is not just talk. In fact, her personal experiences have reinforced her commitment to leaving disloyal partners in the past.
Earlier in 2023, Reese confirmed she had ended her relationship with Florida State’s Cam’Ron Fletcher, a relationship that had sparked excitement among fans and the media alike.
The split was attributed to a combination of long-distance challenges and career pressures that made it difficult for the couple to stay connected.
Reese‘s breakup with Fletcher was a public one, and she later reflected on the complications that come with sharing personal details with the world.
“Now I see why people hide relationships & keep everything private,” Reese tweeted. “Like I don’t think I’ll ever openly share that part of my life with y’all again until I’m married ’cause y’all do THE MOST!”
Angel Reese’s ideal partner
Despite her past heartbreak, Reese isn’t closing the door on love. However, her ideal partner must meet some clear standards, particularly when it comes to height.
As a towering presence on the court at 6’3″, Reese has a preference for tall partners, and she’s made it clear that she’s looking for someone who meets her height requirement.
“He gotta be tall,” Reese said. “6’7″, 6’8″… Yeah, NBA.”
