When Unrivaled was announced, it was unclear how it would be received and how it would fare in terms of performance. Created as a way for WNBA players to earn more money and stay competitive during the offseason, hype began building as big name followed big name in announcing they would be joining the league.
So far, it has been a success. The league got a viewership deal with TNT and truTV, and the league has had plenty of eyes on it throughout the season. There are only a couple of weeks left and only two of six teams have clinched a playoff spot. The 11-1 Lunar Owls are the favorites, while Angel Reese‘s Rose BC have clinched a playoff berth as well. Reese has surprised some fans with an improved offensive game in Unrivaled games that should translate to the Chicago Sky.
Angel Reese is loving life at Unrivaled
Reese seems to really be enjoying herself while playing for the league, as she posted a pair of pictures of her warming up for a recent game with a big smile on her face. She captioned it, “i really love this life“.
That post came right after she called out her Rose BC coach, Nola Henry, for trying to “embarrass me on the hot mic yesterday”.
Henry had posted a video on her Instagram story ordering an Angel Reese meal at McDonald’s. No one could really deduce if Reese was being sarcastic or serious.
There have been reports that Reese and Henry don’t really get along. Regardless, they only have a few games left before they part ways.
