On Monday night, Angel Reese made a jaw-dropping debut at the 2025 Met Gala, seamlessly blending high fashion with athletic elegance in a show-stopping look that captured both the cameras and the conversation.
Wearing a meticulously crafted two-piece ensemble by Thom Browne, Reese arrived at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art draped in sharp tailoring and sophisticated flair.
Her outfit, a cropped collared top paired with a flowing black maxi skirt, paid homage to this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The fit, the fabric, and the finesse – it all worked in harmony, but what truly set Reese apart was the personal message she shared after the event.
“I was already fine, I just needed to be tailored,” she captioned her Instagram post, where she uploaded several images from her Met Gala moment.
From the red carpet to the hardwood
But while some attendees might have taken the opportunity to indulge in the Met Gala’s renowned after-parties, Reese had other plans. Less than 24 hours later, she was back on the court, helping the Chicago Sky secure a 74-69 win over the Minnesota Lynx in their preseason matchup.
Her dedication to the game remained unwavering – even amid the glamour of one of fashion’s most prestigious nights.
“I don’t really party,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I have to get ready for my game.”
The win wasn’t the only thing Reese had to celebrate. Tuesday also marked her 23rd birthday, though she got an early start on the festivities over the weekend with a throwback-themed celebration in Chicago.
Still riding high from both the Met and her preseason performance, Reese promised her fans that more is coming.
“Y’all be ready for a flood for the rest of the week,” she teased in an Instagram Story, suggesting that the photos and moments from her big week are far from over.
