Alex Rodriguez credits his girlfriend with transforming his entire approach to health and fitness, but Monday night in West Hollywood was about enjoying the results.
The 50-year-old former New York Yankees star held hands with 46-year-old fitness professional Jaclyn Cordeiro as they arrived at celebrity hotspot Craig’s for a date night.
Their relationship, which began in October 2022, has evolved into a partnership built on shared passion for wellness and blended family dynamics. Rodriguez shares daughters Natasha, 21, and Ella, 17, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. Cordeiro has two daughters of her own, Bella, 14, and Savanah, 13, from a previous relationship.
The former MLB star opened up about his romance with the New York Post in April 2024, revealing how Cordeiro influenced his lifestyle dramatically.
“Everything’s been going good [with us]. Thank God,” he said at the time. “She’s been a good influence with me. I’ve been working hard and trying to stay in shape and continuing to try to copy some of her great work ethic and health and wellness practices.”
Rodriguez attributed his weight loss to following a fitness program created by Cordeiro, making changes that would have seemed impossible during his baseball career.
“Just being consistent, which is what I’ve learned from her, has been very helpful,” Rodriguez noted. “I’ve been training seven days a week. I’ve eliminated a lot of the steak. I was a big steak eater. I used to eat steak probably eight out of 10 days, and now only one or two [days] out of 10 days. And then I do these 45-minute walks after dinner.”
Valentine’s Day tribute shows depth of relationship
Rodriguez took to Instagram on Valentine’s Day to honor Cordeiro with a public display of affection. He shared a carousel of photos and wrote, “Happy Valentine’s Day and happy birthday to the woman who does it all, @jac_lynfit.” He added, “My ride or die, thank you for making me smile every day.”
The gushing tribute came just days before their West Hollywood date night, showing Rodriguez comfortable expressing his feelings publicly despite his previous high-profile relationship ending badly.
He was first romantically linked with Jennifer Lopez in 2017, announcing their engagement in March 2019 before ending it in April 2021 after a two-year engagement.
