The Minnesota Lynx got revenge on the New York Liberty, who last year denied them the ring, while Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson (29 years old and 1.93 m) made history by achieving the first 30+20 in WNBA history.

Three-time league MVP (2020, 2022 and 2024), Wilson put on a memorable performance with 32 points and 20 rebounds in the Aces’ 94-86 win over the Connecticut Sun.

On the other hand, Sunday’s Liberty-Lynx game was the second reunion in the last two weeks between the protagonists of the 2024 Finals. The Lynx got their revenge by winning both: 100-93 on July 30 and 71-83 on Sunday.

They will soon meet again as on Saturday, August 16, they will face each other in Minnesota and on Tuesday, August 19, in the Big Apple.

Both teams had very important absentees on Sunday, with Napheesa Collier missing for the visitors and Breanna Stewart for the home team.

Kayla McBride, with 18 points, was the leading scorer for the Lynx. Sabrina Ionescu did not have her day for the Liberty with 10 points and 4 of 15 shooting from the field.

The Lynx have five consecutive wins and are top of the table with a 27-5 record, while the Liberty are second with 20-11.
