A’ja Wilson led the Las Vegas Aces to their third WNBA championship in four years after defeating the Phoenix Mercury 4-0.
She finished the year averaging 23.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.6 steals. In addition, she was named WNBA MVP for the fourth time, the only player in history to achieve this feat. Now, after celebrating her own accomplishments, she didn’t hesitate to praise a renowned artist and Jayson Tatum’s girlfriend.
Wilson has two words for Ella Mai
On Saturday, the 30-year-old British R&B singer-songwriter shared eight photos and videos with her 4.9 million followers on her official Instagram account. In them, she is seen wearing a light blue polka dot dress, a video of her swimming and another of her singing. “Life gets so much better once scorpio season is on the horizon,” she wrote.
Her fans were quick to show their support: “Ok! Natural beauty,” “That faceeee,” “Just beautiful” were some of the comments.
The seven-time All-Star Game player couldn’t resist and stole the show in the comments section, commenting “Yes ma’am!!!,” along with two emojis with hearts in their eyes.
Tatum and Mai have not yet confirmed their marriage. It is believed that the rumor that they are married originated from a song by Ella called “Little Things” and a TikTok video in which they appear together, but this is only speculation.
Rumors about the couple began after Tatum won the championship with the Celtics in 2024. In addition, after winning the gold medal with the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Mai was holding a baby, who was apparently the couple’s first child.
Meanwhile, Wilson has been the talk of the town after going public with her relationship with Tatum’s Olympic teammate, Bam Adebayo, with whom she has been romantically linked since 2024. The Miami Heat star center and the 29-year-old center even stole the hearts of fans when A’ja received her MVP trophy from her boyfriend, whom she later thanked for “improving her game.”
Now, Wilson will have to wait until May to return to the court and start a new season in the WNBA, while Bam has already played preseason games with the Heat. Meanwhile, Tatum continues to recover from an Achilles tendon injury he suffered in the final minutes of Game 4 of the NBA Eastern Conference semifinals on May 12.
