Sorry, boys and girls! Aaron Rodgers is officially off the market – in more ways than one.

In a surprise reveal during his first press conference as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the 41-year-old quarterback confirmed he’s been secretly married for “a couple of months,” ending weeks of speculation sparked by a black band spotted on his ring finger during his contract-signing photo.

“Yeah, it’s a wedding ring,” Rodgers casually told reporters Tuesday, cracking a smile. “Been a couple of months.”

The four-time NFL MVP didn’t elaborate much more, but fans quickly connected the dots back to December 2024, when he publicly acknowledged a relationship with a woman named Brittani. The discreet romance stayed largely out of the spotlight – until now.

From the altar to the negotiating table

Rodgers’ love life has often made headlines, from a previous engagement to actress Shailene Woodley to past relationships with NASCAR star Danica Patrick and actress Olivia Munn. But this latest chapter comes with a major career move, too.

After months of swirling free agency rumors, Rodgers signed a one-year, $13.65 million deal with the Steelers – including $10 million guaranteed – putting an end to Pittsburgh’s long quarterback hunt following the departures of Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.

“I was dealing with a lot of things in my personal life,” Rodgers said. “Some things improved a little bit where I felt like I could fully be all-in here with the guys. I didn’t want to short-change the guys and sign and be elsewhere, mentally or physically.”

Rodgers is ready for a new start

Rodgers spent the last two seasons with the Jets, where his debut was derailed by a season-ending Achilles injury. He bounced back last year, throwing for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions across all 17 games.

The Jets are now turning to Rodgers’ former Steelers replacement, Justin Fields, who inked a two-year, $40 million deal in March.

But now all eyes are on Rodgers – both for what he’ll do in black and gold, and who he’ll have cheering him on in the stands.

The Steelers open their season with a blockbuster matchup against the Jets on Sept. 7.
