A “privilege” is how Aaron Boone defined being able to work closely with players like his namesake Aaron Judge, whom the Yankees coach refers to as the slugger who will continue to mark and increase the history of the Bronx Bombers. The Judge continues to climb the all-time home run leaderboard.

The New York pinstripes are in second place on the American League East side with 81 games won, three less than the Toronto Blue Jays. The Yankees are seventh in the overall Major League Baseball standings, still in pursuit of the Milwaukee Brewers, the MLB’s top team.

Aaron Judge hits 361st home run against Tigers

As we have been saying, Aaron Judge continues to mark his name alongside the great figures of the Yankees, thus expanding his impressive career in pinstripes. The slugger hit his 45th and 46th home runs of the season on Thursday night in the 9-3 victory over the Tigers, raising his total with the franchise to 361.

That was enough for him to tie Joe DiMaggio for the fourth most home runs in a Yankees uniform. Earlier in the series against Detroit, Judge surpassed Yogi Berra with his 359th home run. The Judge is looking to maintain this magnificent pace to advance little by little with his team, as they are looking to have a good season reaching the playoffs.

Aaron Boone mentions Joe DiMaggio to praise Judge

Aaron Boone, Judge’s longtime manager, spoke after the explosive hits about what it’s like to ride shotgun on such a journey. “Joe DiMaggio… it seems like he’s been there forever, right?” Boone said. “Joe DiMaggio, in many ways, transcended baseball. To be alongside him on the list, they will salute him as he passes. It’s been a privilege to watch him from the front row.”

Judge’s greatness is no secret, and by now he has been doing it for some time. This is his 10th year and all those that have not been interrupted by injury have shown incredible power. Still, it is somewhat strange to realize that he will go down in Yankees history in the same way that the names he pursues and catches have done.
