Amid this scenario, he has also tried to justify the team’s defensive shortcomings, particularly those of Anthony Volpe, who currently leads the league with 16 errors.
With a “nothing’s wrong” attitude, things could end in the worst way for the Yankees, and especially for Aaron Boone. His comments about being convinced they are “the best team in the league” don’t fully align with the results, and a postseason berth is now at risk if there’s no reaction, particularly a string of favorable results.
