Stephen Curry is the best shooter in the history of the NBA and his overall presence has taken the league to new levels.
His aura and his shooting skills gives the rivals nightmares, which speaks volumes about Curry’s greatness.
The 16-years veteran from the Golden State Warriors is looking to make one of his final runs for a Larry O’Brien Trophy Championship with the addition of superstar guard Jimmy Butler, who hasn’t win a championship in his 14 seasons in the league, and has only got to the NBA Finals once (2020, when his Miami Heat fell to the Los Angeles Lakers 4-2).
A rookie Steph shared goals for his NBA career
The Golden State Warriors posted a video of a rookie Stephen Curry who got asked where did he wanted to be in ten years (2020 season). The young Davidson Wildcat standout had some very humble goals for himself, and it’s fair to say that he exceeded all expectations.
“In ten years, I want to be known as a true professional. The guy that played the game the right way. Hopefully still in the league and still efective in the NBA because there are not many people that last in double digit years. So, it starts now and building a foundation for the later on down the road.” Curry said.
Four NBA championships later (including one-time NBA Finals MVP in 2022), two MVP’s, 11 times NBA All-Star and nine times All-NBA Team, Curry is a staple for excellence in the league and one of the best examples of an all-around basketball career.
NBA All-Star Game MVP, the latest of his achievements
Stephen Curry was named MVP at the NBA 2025 All-Star Game, combining for 20 points and sinking six 3-pointers over two wins. “He’s changed the game,” All-Star player James Harden said of Curry. “His aura, shooting, overall presence. Being in this arena gives me nightmares. We literally created teams to beat the Warriors.”
Steph is one of seven players this season averaging at least 20 points, four rebounds and six assists while also posting a true shooting percentage of 60 percent or higher. Curry joins Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, LeBron James, Domantas Sabonis and Damian Lillard in this exclusive group.
The baller has recorded eight 30-point games this season, bringing his career total to 298. Curry ranks second all-time among point guards in 30-point games, only trailing Oscar Robertson (387).
