The Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) is set to launch tomorrow, promising to merge tradition with innovation in a bid to captivate a modern audience.
With its tech-infused approach and a star-studded lineup of investors and players, TGL could redefine how fans experience the sport.
TGL, spearheaded by golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy under their TMRW Sports venture, takes a bold leap from golf’s traditional roots. Gone are sprawling greens and long fairways.
Instead, players will hit toward a massive 64-by-53-foot simulator screen. The matches, hosted in a 1,500-seat arena, promise an immersive and energetic atmosphere, with tickets priced at $160.
This six-team league includes Atlanta Drive, Los Angeles, Jupiter Links, and others. The competition blends virtual and live gameplay, featuring three-on-three, two-hour matches across 15 holes.
A state-of-the-art rotating green adds realism, mimicking slopes and angles to ensure every shot is unique. The season concludes with a best-of-three final in March, where teams will compete for the prestigious SoFi Cup and a $21 million prize.

Billy Horschel emphasized the importance of this aspect, saying, “We have to be entertainers. We have to take ourselves away from what we are inside the ropes on the PGA Tour.”

With the addition of music, interactive scoreboards, and a lively audience, TGL aims to create an atmosphere reminiscent of NBA or NFL games.
