There’s no doubt that Lamar Jackson is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL-some might even argue he’s the best in the league at his position.

The Baltimore Ravens quarterback came very close to winning his third MVP in 2024, after the award controversially went to Josh Allen, quarterback of the Buffalo Bills.

Last season, over 17 games, Jackson threw for 4,172 yards and 41 touchdowns, with just 4 interceptions, achieving an impressive passer rating of 119.6. His leadership was outstanding, and he came very close to reaching the AFC Championship once again.

A new contract is on the way for Lamar Jackson

The first step is already done-Baltimore Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta agreed to a new deal with left tackle Ronnie Stanley: a 3-year, $60 million contract to keep protecting Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens also have to decide on whether to renew safety Kyle Hamilton and center Tyler Linderbaum. Plus, Jackson is projected to have a salary cap hit of over $70 million for the 2026 season. Because of this, the team will need to restructure his contract, and Lamar is likely to become the highest-paid player in the NFL.

Just a few days ago, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that Jackson will receive a contract that will be historic and surpass all others in the league.
