NBA Rookie of the Year 2025-26
Kon Knueppel: -160 (bet $10 to win $16.25 total)
Cooper Flagg: +130 (bet $10 to win $23 total)
VJ Edgecombe: +10000 (bet $10 to win $1,010 total)
After being selected No. 1 by Dallas in the 2025 NBA Draft, Flagg opened as the favorite to win Rookie of the Year at -185.
On Jan. 22, he was as low as -650, with Knueppel at +500.
Now, a little over a month later, Knueppel has finally overtaken Flagg. So, after the two teamed up at Duke just a season ago, they are officially doing battle for the ROY award.
Flagg is averaging 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists for the Mavs, while Knueppel is putting up 19.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists for the Hornets. Going a little deeper, however, Knueppel’s Hornets are in the play-in hunt (31-31 as of Wednesday), having won 15 of their last 18.
As for the Mavs, they are 7.5 games out of the final play-in spot (21-40 as of Wednesday), and Flagg has missed eight straight games due to injury.
In addition, Knueppel has broken the record for 3-pointers made in a season by a rookie. He’s made 212 so far. The previous record was 206 (Keegan Murray, 2022-23).
